This is a compatibility update of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Outlook Client for Windows Vista and Office 2007. It is a culmination of new features, updates, and enhancements, driven by our customer commitment in ensuring that users worldwide are able to use their Dynamics CRM solution against the latest and greatest of Microsoft technologies.

Microsoft CRM Solution Accelerator for Siebel

As a part of Microsoft Dynamics CRM’s expanding integration story, we are announcing the release of the Microsoft CRM Solution Accelerator for Siebel.  This new release is designed for current customers of Siebel systems, this accelerator is a pre-built integration solution that can be used to synchronise the data between Microsoft CRM 3.0 and Siebel 7.5. The integration solution comes with predefined integration for the contact, account, and address entities and can be customised to integrate other custom entities and fields.

While this solution is one of multiple methods to link the Microsoft CRM and Siebel systems together, it is built upon the Microsoft CRM web services architecture and leverages the standards-based integration that is available in both applications. With this integration, organisations can benefit from the familiar user interface and productivity tools used by Microsoft CRM while continuing to access existing data and process definitions in Siebel.

RELEASED – Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft CRM 3.0

What Is It?
Update Rollup 1 is a tested, cumulative set of updates for Microsoft CRM 3.0 Server and the Microsoft CRM Client for 3.0, including performance enhancements, that are packaged together for easy deployment.
 
Applicability to Office 2007 and Windows Vista
Microsoft CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 1 does not provide compatibility for Microsoft CRM 3.0 Client for Outlook with Windows Vista and Office 2007. An updated Microsoft CRM 3.0 Client for Outlook that is compatible with Windows Vista and Office 2007 will be released as a web download before the end of December 2006.
 
Update Rollup 1 dependencies regarding export and import of customisations
When customisations were exported from a Microsoft CRM 3.0 server running Update Rollup 1, importing the customisations to a Microsoft CRM 3.0 server that does not have Update Rollup 1 installed is not supported. Make sure the CRM Server to which you are importing the customisations also has Update Rollup 1 installed.
 
Hotfixes and updates that you have to manually enable or configure
Update Rollup 1 contains some hotfixes and updates that you have to manually enable or configure. Consult the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 922815 article for more information.
 
This "Update Rollup 1" is significant in that it is the first publicly-available hotfix/update rollup for Microsoft CRM 3.0. It makes it very easy for partners/customers to update your Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 systems to the latest set of hotfixes, and to maintain parity between the client and server components of Microsoft CRM 3.0.
